There's still time to ask question in the previous entry on my journal.
barkman: (Satyr)
Ask me a question about EACH or ANY of the following:

- Friends
- Sex
- Music
- Religion
- Love
- Livejournal

No matter how naughty, sexual, or confidential. Then post this in your journal and see what questions you get asked!

And just show people don't have to show how wierd/perverted/funny thier questions are, all comments will be screened.

You scored as Character Player. The Character Player enjoys creating in-depth characters with distinct and rich personalities. He identifies closely with his characters, feeling detached from the game if he doesnâ??t. He takes creative pride in exploring different characters, often making each new one radically different than others heâ??s played. The Character Player bases his decisions on his character's psychology first and foremost. He may view rules as a necessary evil at best, preferring sessions in which the dice never come out of their bags. For the Character Player, the greatest reward comes from experiencing the game from the emotional perspective of an interesting character.

I come not to bury Caesar, but to praise him!.. no wait...

but via you-tube comes some decadence - This one is for the rollercoaster geeks amongst my friends.

Also geekery for my RPG friends as well as -
Tolkien Geeks.

I'm also seriously looking at the Fantasy Grounds game. Probably monday evenings, 2 hours or so. DnD 3.x rules, playing in a Goodman Games Dungeon Crawl Classics. Sounds like i've 3 players interested. not to work on wife-y..... :)

Anybody else interested in playing virtually? this would be great for any of my friends who do live around the computer.

Also - City of Heroes is having it's halloween event. So it's Trick or Treating time in Paragon City. Also, if anyone is interested in trying it out, there is a 14 day trial at MMORPG.com
It gives you access to both Hero and Villain content, and the chance to trick or treat.

Let me know if you sign up, [livejournal.com profile] morgandria and i mostly play on guardian.

Want!

Man...
I'm wishing i had a couple more bucks in the ole paypal account right now...
Howard Taylor has his second book of the Schlock Mercenary up for sale. I managed to get a signed, sketched pre order of the first book thanks to the efforts of [livejournal.com profile] metachaos's efforts at Penguicon, but now the next book is out, and i can't get the cash into the paypal to take care of the order.... $35.00 all told for the sketch edition and shipping. damn.

Other than that, I want to Role-Play, I was playing in a very interesting RPOL campaign, but it, as most rpol games seems to have dried up. So i'm' wanting some role playing action. I'm tempted to try and run something (most likely d&d 3.x) based on Fantasy Grounds, with appears to be a system like IRC, with built-in maps and characters icons to replace maps and mini's. I have a module in mind to run, with all the maps pre generated, cutting down on work up.... It would be more like a regular games, set to run on one night a week.

Other than that, things proceed apace. Work continues to improve, and things a settling nicely into the new position. The Board ITS dept, is undergoing a restructure, and it looks like a number of positions are going to become available, so if you're looking for a pretty solid IT job, especially in the simcoe county area, keep an eye on the barrie paper, and the board webpage, or ask me for info.

Alright, if you don't plan to run the smurfs, can you run this Call of Cthulhu game?

It's the Great Pumpkin!

Friendly neighbourhood frying pan...

We got a chance to use the new cast iron frying pan provided by [livejournal.com profile] shlemkevich tonight to fry up the sauce for ravioli and alfredo tonight. WE fried up some bacon, and then did the chicken in it. Oh man...... did that seasoned fry pan add to the flavour......... both of us were in foodgasm.

Next thing we try is apparently hamburger hash.... just for the 2 of us.... (yes justin and oj, just us...)

After that, we try the raclette, with some farm fresh produce, as well as some naturally made sausage and other meats from the farmers market on saturday.

Other than that:

Burn healing fine,
Phantasm was great, the larp was a success, and i've been asked to run a larp again on the saturday night next year.

[livejournal.com profile] shlemkevich, [livejournal.com profile] felinaeus, [livejournal.com profile] khydeeaunta, [livejournal.com profile] oni_neko think about making some time to come down for Phantasm next year. This goes for any of the other larps on my flist.

I'm hoping to write a review of [livejournal.com profile] eyebeams's new game system Ready2Run. It did indeed fulfill its design criteria and our characters were ready to go (and competant) within 5 minutes of [livejournal.com profile] morgandria sitting down at the table. We had a good time playing with [livejournal.com profile] chadimusprime(Chad) and [livejournal.com profile] luciencarter(Dave Creighton), all of whom we hadn't seen in some time. It was an enjoyable game, and i'd like to read more of the setting when it's released.

I also got a chance to sit down and play in "A Game of Thrones" adventure, which was very interesting, if not entirely accurate to the novels. The changes were good for a convention game, and the DM made the game pretty fun, as did a couple of the other players.

Now, off to try Midway Arcade Treasures 1. I blame [livejournal.com profile] thebitterguy.

Hmm... thoughts on Phantasm to follow, but good times, good gaming and a good turn out for the LARP, even if the Baali ended up winning.

Does anyone who attended our handfasting have an extra digital camera floating around? My kodak dc 4200 camera disappeared on the handfasting weekend, and we haven't seen it. if anyone has it, please let me know.

I, Jason, Vow,

To love, honour and cherish you,
As long as the seasons turn,

One soul, one heart, one love
for as long as the stars will burn,

With this token, i plight my troth,
to you

My vows from our handfasting on the weekend.
Yes, Morgandria had more time to work on hers.

Just to let everyone know - Morgandria and I got handfasted over the weekend. In spite of an accident with the fire wok, and my kilt going up in flames. I only recieved 2 small burns, that as of this writing have been dressed and tended by the emerg at Soldiers Memorial in Orillia. ( as an aside, the new emergency is head and shoulders above the old one).

My thanks to everyone who came, and thanks to those who those were with us in spirit.

My Nana (Grandmother for those who aren't famillar with my familys usage of the Queen's English) is in the hospital, with what appears to be lung failure. This came as a shock to most of us as she was doing quite well, after shocking us earlier this year with a very bad cold. She had recovered well, and was then doing quite well, until my aunt died two weeks ago. This was my Nana's daughter. We think she decided she was going to stop fighting, and started to go down hill. She was admitted to the hospital after an ambulance ride on sunday afternoon, and i got a call monday morning at 7 am. I've been at the hospital since then.

I'm still running interference and letting my dad know what's going on, but i don't think he's ready to accept it yet either. There's a lot of unfinished business between them.

At this point she's reciving Atavan and Morphine for the pain, and we're just waiting for her body to stop. My cousins Carla and T.J. were with her this morning when she was up and talking about her wishes. SO i think her spirit has left, and we're just waiting for the body to catch up.

Hopefull she goes soon, to make things easier for all, so we can arrange for the funeral friday, and be able to keep things going on track for our handfasting on saturday.

Edit: 6:30 PM. RIP Nana.
